Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a DoD Human Resources Specialist in the Alexandria, VA area. Essential knowledge, skills and abilities include;
• Knowledge of developing, preparing, coordinating, and maintaining military personnel documentation and correspondence
• Ability to conduct quality control reviews of all official correspondence and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable Army and DoD regulations.
• Knowledge preparing and tracking the status of actions; Ability to log and maintain accurate data and files in a timely fashion.
• Ability to develop and manage the database(s) for document control. The documentation for control includes, but is not limited to, personnel, financial, travel, training, and postal data.
• Knowledge, skills, and ability to prepare and coordinate military travel documents for personnel, generate and prepare common Army human resources forms, to include but not limited to evaluations, awards, request for personnel action, life insurance and entitlements beneficiary, and leave forms.
• Knowledge, skills, and ability to analyze and provide clear, concise and well­ thought-out written and oral plans, advise, and recommend courses of action and solutions as the result of conclusions drawn from collection, assembling, and analyzing pertinent facts.
• Knowledge, skills, and ability to respond to inquiries from all echelons and work effectively with individuals and groups of persons to advise senior level management.
• Knowledge, skills, and ability to perform general clerical activities, to include but not limited to, typing, filing, routine procedural processing, maintaining records, coordinating and staffing documents, and other non-specialized tasks.
• Knowledge, skills, and ability to utilize Microsoft Office computer applications, Adobe Acrobat, to create and manage all administrative and operational signature reduction activities.
• Ability to provide timely and responsive customer service in a professional manner.
• Final Top Secret clearance, eligible for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
Basic Qualifications:
7 -10 years experience in DoD Human Resources policies and procedures
Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Adobe PDF, and PureEdge applications
Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, developing and maintenance of SharePoint sites and pages.
Must have a strong working knowledge of managing official military correspondence per Army Regulation 25-50
Must have a final Top Secret clearance, investigated within the last five years.
Must have excellent written and verbal communications
Must have good time management and typing skills
Must be able to provide timely customer service in a professional manner and work well in a team environment
Be able to possess and maintain a Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) access
