The Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) IT, Solutions Engineering and Architecture organization designing and implementing solutions and platforms and need a motivated Full Stack Engineer to help us invent secure and power RMS.

This is a Full Stack Engineering role focused on the design, development, and deployment of infrastructure, platform, and application services. Additionally, the qualified candidate would be expected to consume new concepts and technologies quickly, as well as be able to educate technologists on their applicability and usage. The candidate will work closely with Applications, Engineering, Operations, Leadership and other assigned stakeholders to develop future plans and schedules and provide input into presentations and/or Engineering and Architecture Reviews.
Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS/Azure) and a understanding of basic cloud services, security and functions
• Proven experience with Red Hat OpenShift and/or Kubernetes
• Experience working with Amazon Web Services (e.g. EC2, ECS, S3, microservices)
• Linux and/or Windows Administration
• COTS software deployment experience
• Demonstrated experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated IT systems engineering/architecture experience
• Wide range of knowledge across IT disciplines including software, hardware, network engineering
• Must have excellent people, communication and presentation skills
• Experience working in a virtual organization
Desired Skills:
• Recognized cloud certification (AWS CSA/Developer/DevOps Engineer, CompTIA Cloud+, CCSK or others)
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and development techniques (GitLab, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Tanzu, Ansible, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code)
• Proficient modern application development skills (Java, C#, Python, etc)
• Proven ability to execute the full software development lifecycle including interfacing directly with stakeholders, including multiple Business Areas, to develop requirements.
• Demonstrated effectiveness working with teammates in a virtual environment
• Demonstrated willingness to take initiative and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Database experience with Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
• Wide range of knowledge across IT disciplines including software, hardware, network engineering
• Familiarity with networking and related concepts (Firewalls, isolans, switches and routers)
• Familiarity with Cyber Security concepts
• Automation mindset - if you can automate it, do it
• Experience with working on teams in a geographically dispersed and virtual environment
• Familiarity with High Performance Computing infrastructure product development, maintenance and/or utilization
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Experience in refactoring, rebuild, or redesign required during cloud migration activities
• Knowledge of common DevOps tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and Gitlab
