Data Services Administrator

Description:Monitoring of the Tidal Job Scheduling system. Correction and escalation of job failures. Handling of tickets submitted by users for a wide variety of asks, including but not limited to access questions, inquiries about data not being correct, inquiries about missing data, questions about overnight failed jobs, general data related questions, etc. Migrations of jobs through the different environments.

U.S. Citizenship Required
Basic Qualifications:
-U.S. Citizenship Required
-Experience in Data Services development and administration
-Strong SQL experience
-Oracle and SQL Server Database experience
-Tidal Job Scheduler
-Ability to interpret job, database, and application logs to find error messages
-An understanding of database concepts such as field ------types, tablespaces, primary keys, indexes, security roles, etc.
-General knowledge of job scheduling concepts such as job hierarchies, parentage, calendars, dependencies, and successors
-The ability to intuitively analyze an issue and work with the user to understand the context of the issue
-Ability to document and explain an issue clearly
-Strong written and oral communication
-Strong time management skills
-Ability to work multiple tasks
-Ability to work with a remote team

Knowledge of Service Now
Experience in gathering requirements and understanding business processes
