Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is seeking an experienced and creative communicator and storyteller to lead digital communications activities and serve as a key member of its integrated communications team.

Primary responsibilities include:

Content Strategy and Creation: Lead content development across multiple lines of business and for diverse functional projects. Author and align compelling digital tactics to support business objectives and audience/channel preferences. Deploy and amplify the business’ content across current and emerging digital channels and social media. Tactics may include, but are not limited to: feature stories, infographics, GIFs, interactives, video, podcasts and webinars.

Thought Leadership and Brand Storytelling: Identify and enhance MFC executives’ and experts’ digital presence, content strategy and thought leadership opportunities. Research trending topics and technologies and partner with cross-functional teammates and line of business teammates to create engaging, thoughtful stories that highlight key capabilities and employees. Drive new conversations that move audiences to take action - whether it’s watching a video, applying for a job or participating in an event.

Insights & Analysis: Track metrics for owned, shared and paid content at a regular cadence, providing to business partners. Deliver actionable analysis and best practice recommendations to ensure content is effectively reaching audiences, achieving KPIs and integrating with social media, media relations, web and advertising tactics. Innovate across diverse digital channels, testing new strategies and ideas.
Basic Qualifications:
• Excellent communications skills, including writing and editing for web
• Previous experience creating digital campaigns and content
• Previous experience collaborating with visual communicators and/or supporting visual communications projects (eg.,: video, graphic design, motion graphics)
• Previous experience with data analytics
• Strong situational awareness and ability to comfortably operate in a matrixed organization, interfacing with all levels of leadership
• Self-motivated; ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure and adapt to evolving circumstances
• Strong attention to detail
• Up to 25 percent travel
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager
• Familiarity with metrics and insights tools such as Google Analytics
