C-5 Logistics Support Liaison - Warner Robins, Georgia

Description:C-5 Liaisons serve as the single point of contact for customers and partners, advise/assist the customer on all matters pertaining to the daily logistics, maintenance, and operation of the C-5 aircraft. The position resides embedded with the C-5 Systems Program Office (SPO), Warner Robins, Georgia. Provides liaison between customer, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Depot on related maintenance and operational problems. Makes and executes decisions for operating inventory to include suppliers, repair facilities and customer locations, including priority interpretation, inventory allocation and asset redistribution as necessary among sources of supply and military operating locations. Responds to military service inquiries; supports request for proposals and provisioning determinations; understands and uses various inventory optimization models. Analyzes government supply procedures to eliminate violations of supply discipline; recommend procedural changes when necessary.

Other responsibilities include:
- Establish levels in Government On-line Data (GOLD) for Reliability Enhancement and Re-engining Program (RERP) spares by Base, by line item to push through to Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) to establish readiness base levels. Monitor, maintain and re-verify various data elements and transactions in SBSS. Ensure SBSS automatically requisitions assets based on the levels set at each base.
- Monitor daily usage and any transactions of parts across the globe through the use of available Government Data Systems at the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC).
- Ensure repairables are turned in expeditiously and track the repairables back to the Inventory Control Point (ICP).
- Directly interface with the AFSC C-5M Weapon System Office.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Headquarter Air Mobility Command (HQ AMC) Logistics Division on Mobility Readiness Spares Package authorizations and any issues for parts.
-Process repairable assets received from the field through GOLD and SAP to the vendor for repair.

-Must possess a current driver's license.

-Must have at least an Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting and must be able to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance.

-Must be a United States citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
Qualified Candidates must have the following experience/skills:
- USAF C-5 aircraft logistics management experience.
- Experience with Performance Based Logistics (PBL)/ Supply Chain
- Logistics Management concepts and Logistics performance requirements.
- Experience with U.S Government spares/inventory management systems.
- Experience with aircraft component repair cycle management; repairs process, tracking, expediting, Mission Capable (MICAP) management and
transportation management.
- Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint to accomplish reports, logs and briefings.
Desired Skills:
The following skills are desired but not required:

Experience with Commercial spares/inventory management systems
Good communication skills both oral and written
Must have excellent customer relations/liaison skills:
Working knowledge of the following systems:
Experience with GOLD
Experience with SAP 5.0
Experience with Discover
Enterprise Solution–Supply (ESS)
