Description:Primary responsibility is to provide Configuration Data Management support to the Littoral Combat Ships and Saudi Multi-Mission Surface Combatant ships under the New Construction Acquisition contract. Review system installation, arrangement, and hull block drawings to establish the LCS or MMSC ships configuration baseline in the CDMD-OA database. Review, assess, and implement approved changes to the configuration. A basic understanding of CM discipline is essential. Candidate requires general understanding of shipboard systems to define the Hierarchical Structure Code; a logical system/equipment top-down breakdown. Candidate must be able to travel and perform shipboard validations which will require travel. Candidate will be required to manage and track work items and provide status on a weekly or as needed basis. Candidate will be responsible for selected shipboard systems to ensure accurate and complete data. Will be required to create or update internal operating procedures which requires comprehensive written communication skills.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be detail oriented with excellent analytical skills.
Must be a problem solver and work independently.
Proficient using all Microsoft Professional and AutoCAD viewer software.
Knowledge of the Navy Supply and ILS processes.
Must be willing to travel to conduct equipment validations.
Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with subcontractors, military and civilian workers to include Program Managers and high ranking military officers.
Desired Skills:
Experience using CDMD-OA and NDE.
Knowledge of Navy Supply System, OMMS-NG, AWN and the Navy PMS system.
Familiarity with Navy Modernization Program and RMMCO requirements. Technical experience with shipboard systems either through operating, testing, installing, or maintaining these systems.
Minimum of 4 years CDM/CDMD-OA/CM experience, or prior NAVY shipboard experience.
