We are looking for candidates to join our Production Operations Team in the following areas:

Assembly: Assemblers are crucial to our success, responsible for building our world class products. Our assembly team performs electrical and mechanical assembly operations for multiple systems and products. This role will also perform rework of unique and complex hardware for production, experimental or prototype missile systems, and other assemblies. An assembly role requires proficiency and the ability to abide by a standard for operations. If you can follow detailed written instructions and interpret sequences in the performance of electrical, optical, and mechanical assembly operations, then an assembly role is suited for you.

Inspection: The inspection role has a keen eye for quality and excels in following specifications extremely crucial to the success of our products. Inspectors are responsible for ensuring that products and systems function in accordance to company and customer requirements/specifications. Our Inspector roles will perform a variety of assessment operations of fabricated and/or assembled mechanical parts and installations. They will also perform inspections utilizing a variety of techniques, inspection equipment and instruments to include visual, layout methods, and various types of mechanical measurement devices to generate reliability reports on items.

Testing: Our testing team performs critical examination functions on our electrical, mechanical and optical hardware. Responsibilities includes examination, evaluation, and verification of the performance of subsystems within company requirements. Testers set up and operate essential checkout equipment, functional test panels/consoles, and other recording devices to generate observation records. Other daily functions include; maintaining logs and records, demonstrating equipment operations, and training other technicians as required.

Machining: Lockheed Martin relies on machinists to perform operations of precision machining, measuring, and the set up for fabrication of hardware that includes a variety of semi-complex parts, details, and assemblies. This role utilizes various types of manual, numerically controlled and computerized machine shop equipment to perform machining operations on all types of materials. Machinists work from engineering drawings, tooling drawings, engineering change documents, manufacturing planning, and sketches.

Technical (technician): Our technical team calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards. Technicians must be able to accurately follow detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements. Their daily tasks can include disassembly, cleanings, repairs, and the replacement of defective parts of test equipment. If you are familiar with the use and application of high voltage, test equipment, test software, and other various electronic measuring instruments this is the role for you.

Shipping/Receiving: Our shipping and receiving personnel retrieve incoming materials such as raw stock, assemblies, building materials/parts, and equipment. This position verifies quantity and material per invoice, process goods received, and route packages/materials to destinations. Shipping and receiving personnel act as the point of contact between internal and external customers. A forklift certification may need to be obtained.

Warehousing: At Lockheed Martin everyone is part of our success, the warehousing position is crucial to the production of our world class products. This role supports shop floor production, performs all duties required to load/unload, store, issue, and make deliveries. Warehousing requires the use of materials, tools, parts, and equipment while maintaining production control, cost control, and accurate inventory reports. They also collect all materials, tools, and blueprints that are required from appropriate vendors. This role may require operating lifting and loading equipment with occasional use of saws and hand/power tools.

Fabrication: Not only do we have to ensure our products have the latest cutting-edge technology, but they must also look the part. Here at Lockheed Martin, our fabricators monitor and perform required adjustments to ensure acceptable hardware is produced. This role requires you to work closely with paints, lacquers, enamels, and thins to perform work up to par to company or customer standards. The role includes tasks such as, the application of protective coatings to products, set up/operate spray painting equipment following routine procedure, and monitor the quality of production.

Painting: Our complex weapons systems are among the finest in the world. Lockheed Martin relies on painters to help us look our best. Painters apply various types of protective coatings, prime, paint, ink, and finish to detail parts and assemblies for development, test equipment, tools, and production. This role checks surfaces prior to painting for proper preparation. Painters also operate associated paint equipment to perform application and preparation operations. Our painters work from drawings, sketches, and schematics to achieve the look of a world class product.

Optical Operator: At Lockheed Martin the optical operator role works under general direction along with the use of manufacturing process plans, engineering drawings, and specifications. This role is responsible for manufacturing optical components (such as lenses, mirrors, windows, etc.) to specified conditions. Additionally, operators will perform a wide variety of complex coating processes, which involve different types of film layers being applied to several elements.


Candidates should have experience in the following:

  • CNC Maintenance, Operation and Precision Machining
  • Electronic, Electrical, Optical and Mechanical Assembly
  • Quality Inspection, Testing and Fabrication
