To support a contract for the CDC's Coordinating Office of Terrorism Preparedness and Emergency Response including the Division of the Strategic National Stockpile, the Division of Emergency Operations, and the Division of Business Services for the CDC, you will enjoy the benefits of a rewarding career contributing to the safely and security of our nation, and the challenges that an opportunity in emergency response management provides.

The following opportunities are available for experienced Emergency Management professionals:
(Please note that the education requirements vary from Bachelor's to Master's degrees or may be substituted for years of relevant experience. Please also note that selected applicants will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified materials.)

• Emergency Response Operations Coordinator
Provide all-hazards public health watch support, incident emergency alert, incident management support, and support for emergency incident drills, exercises, and actual emergencies. During emergency response operations, you may also perform duties as DSNS Operations Manager, oversee internal/external coordination, maintain situational awareness of DSNS response activities, and provide assessments, briefings, and/or updates as required.

• Emergency Response Exercise Coordinator
To ensure accordance with federal agency response preparedness (NIMS/NRF), you will maintain/enhance the exercise function of both individual and team efforts designed to prepare all CDC emergency responders for improved emergency response.

• Systems Administration Management Analyst
Perform systems maintenance and support of Sun Solaris UNIX systems, Windows enterprise servers, data backup systems, and other infrastructure related activities. Additionally, you will work with Level 1 & 2 technical teams to support and troubleshoot desktop, hardware, software, and applications; execute and provide input to Backup, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery plans; and create and execute system changes through a formal Change Management Process.

• Medical Logistics Manager
Primarily, you will analyze logistic functions at repository/warehouse, understanding and executing repository medical asset inventory and distribution operations; ultimately responsible for timely execution of distribution assets. Additionally you will maintain inventory by inputing data into the Inventory Management System upon receipt or issue of products/equipment.

• Administrative Representative:
You will perform various administrative support duties in support of Divisions and Senior Level Managers.


Opportunities with the FAA

Opportunities also exist on the National Airspace System Implementation Support Contract (NISC), one of the FAA's largest support contracts. Under this cost-plus-award fee contract, the Lockheed Martin team is supplying engineering, planning, automation, environmental analysis and other services to the FAA. NISC helps the FAA integrate and implement state-of-the-art air traffic control systems, equipment, components and related capital projects. NISC provides nearly 900 highly qualified planners, engineers, technicians, safety experts and analysts. This support is furnished directly to the Airway Facilities and Air Traffic organizations at regional offices, field facilities, and FAA headquarters.

The following opportunities are available for experienced Aerospace professionals:

• Air Traffic Controller Specialist:
Provide support to various Air Traffic Control Centers, TRACONS, Towers, and ATS Headquarters and Regional offices. Support consists of development of site implementation and transition planning for National and Regional, Facilities and Equipment, Capital Investment Plan projects. Support and assist in identifying, analyzing, coordinating, resolving, and reporting the resolution of implementation issues generated by such projects.

Requires: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, minimum of ten years experience as a certified full-performance level Air Traffic Controller (ATC) in either a civilian or military environment. Minimum ten years experience in an operational environment such as an Enroute Air Traffic Control facility, a terminal (TRACON/Tower), or a Flight Service Station (FSS). In certain situations, it may be necessary for task orders to require operational currency for the ATC Specialist(s) being requested due to the nature of the work effort. In those cases operational currency for the senior level ATC Specialist is defined as having actually controlled aircraft within the past five (5) years prior to accepting employment under NISC-II, unless otherwise defined within the individual task order that calls for operational currency. Individual task orders issued will clearly identify those situations where operational currency will be required. (Req #62639)

• Task Order Project Manager
Responsible for ensuring work requested under the task order is performed properly and to the complete satisfaction of the customer. Also ensures work is performed within prescribed time and budget constraints negotiated between the Contractor and the Government for the particular task order in question. In addition to managing the task order, the manager must establish policies, procedures and goals for the successful completion of work within the task order that is within budget and schedule constraints, explain them to subordinates and see that such policies and procedures are effectively carried out. Further, the position requires frequent interface with FAA regional personnel, other contractor personnel, FAA ATOs, and other FAA customer representatives. This position correlates to NISC Req. ID# 11322.

Requires: Successful completion of a full four-year curriculum, from an accredited college or university, leading to a Bachelor's degree from a school of engineering, business administration, architecture, science, or management related field. The FAA will accept the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineering (PE) in lieu of bachelors Degree. Also, requires a sound working knowledge of the new FAA Acquisition Management System (FAAAMS) as well as commercial acquisition practices, as well as 7 or more year's general engineering management (at least 3 years' in direct supervision of projects involving at least 25 employees) experience in projects involving planning, integrating and implementation of complex systems and equipment. Formal training in Project Management concepts and principles as defined in the PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMIBOK), and 5 years' experience in managing projects as Project Manager is desired. • Safety Engineer
Inspects machinery, equipment and working conditions to ensure compliance with occupational, safety and health regulations. Plans and directs safety and health activities to evaluate environmental hazards. Tests noise levels, measures air quality, maintains and calibrates instrumentation, conducts safety lectures.

Requires: Successful completion of a post-secondary curriculum related to the particular technician discipline as requested within specific task orders. The FAA will accept recognized technical certifications and the minimum years of experience in lieu of the post-secondary curriculum completion requirement. A minimum of five years experience in the particular discipline as identified within specific task orders is required. Up to 90% travel. (Req #71654)
